Copy of Cypresses in Starry Night By Lori

During my research I found that Vincent Van Gogh had drawn a Reed Pen and ink on paper drawing called Cypresses in Starry Night. It is the same scene as The Starry Night. I decided to have a go at drawing a copy using a variety of dip pens.

I used a Bamboo dip pen, a glass dip pen that my Aunt gave me, and a metal nibbed dip pen. I used all these pens with black, grey and light grey Indian Ink white paper.

I really enjoyed drawing the different marks and textures. My favourite pen was the glass dip pen, it didn’t scratched the papers surface like the metal nibbed dip pen did.
